SIMDI’s roots lie as far back as 1972 when the Chairman of SIMDI COMPANY, Mr Ibrahim Mohamed Didi embarked on his business career giving birth to one of the oldest companies in the Maldives. After several years of successful operation, a strategic decision by Mr Didi and Madam Shakeela, who joined hands with him in 1984, led to the formation of SIMDI Company on this 30th day of January 2001. They have since, steered SIMDI to a very successful and a well respected position. Both Mr. Didi and Madam Shakeela are people of integrity, who believe that success lies in building relationships, in creating positive attitudes, and in the emotional engagement of all employees with the company.
